Trump refused to lift the Iranian sanctions

US President Donald Trump did not support the proposal of the Iranian authorities to start a negotiation subject to the removal of the restrictive. He stated this on Twitter.

“Iran’s Foreign Minister said Iran wants to negotiate with the United States, but after lifting the sanctions. No, thanks!” – Trump wrote.

Recently it was reported that the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, Javad Zarif, in an interview with Der Spiegel magazine did not rule out the possibility of a dialogue with Washington, provided that the current US administration “corrects its behavior and lifts sanctions”.

The next stage in the aggravation of US-Iranian relations took place in early January after a U.S. missile attack on the suburbs of Baghdad, when the Iranian General Kassem Suleimani, the commander of the special forces unit of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, was killed during a special operation.

In response, Tehran attacked the American base and airport in Iraq on January 8, resulting in more than 30 military personnel being injured, according to the Pentagon.
