Estonian armed forces left Iraq – all seven fighters fled to the neighboring Kuwait

Due to the escalation of tension in the Middle East, all seven Estonian troops involved in the operations of the Western coalition were deployed from Iraq to Kuwait.

According to the agency, all the military were at the Iraqi Ain al-Assad air base along with the US occupation forces. It was this base that was attacked by Iran in the framework of the operation “Martyr Soleimani”. As the General Staff noted, the first Estonian Colonel Tõnu Mille fled to Kuwait, and the rest of the military left Iraq a day later.

“Now all seven Estonian troops who were in Iraq as part of the “Unshakable Determination” mission have moved to Kuwait”, – the statement said.

As News Front previously reported, the American armed forces carried out a resonant and extremely provocative attack, the victim of which was the commander of the elite Iranian unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Al-Quds Qassem Soleimani. The blow was inflicted by personal order of President Donald Trump, allegedly with the aim of “protecting the the US personnel abroad”.

In response, Iranian forces attacked US military installations in Iraq. The operation was called the “Martyr Soleimani”. As a result of the attack, several fighters were damaged. According to some reports, several aircraft were destroyed. At the same time, Donald Trump said that there were no casualties from the incident.
