Trump brought American politics to its logical end, the Federation Council said

The UN Security Council should consider the statements of the US President Donald Trump on Iraq, as well as the possibility of an attack on Iran’s cultural heritage, a member of the Federation Council’s Defense and Security Committee Franz Klintsevich told the reporters.

Trump had previously threatened Iraq with sanctions after a parliamentary resolution against the US presence. He also said that US troops would not leave Iraq until he paid for the American air base. In addition, Trump noted that he has the right to strike at Iranian cultural heritage.

“Actually, the US President Donald Trump did not come up with anything new. He just brought American politics to its logical end, clearing it of all kinds of embellishments”, – the senator said.

According to Klintsevich, the US’s reluctance to leave Iraq is “a continuation of its American occupation, an attempt to blackmail and threaten to keep the country in its orbit”.

“I think this is a matter for the UN Security Council, as well as the statement of the American president about the possibility of striking at Iran’s cultural heritage,” the legislator noted.

“The world community must stop the United States, which has become completely unpredictable”, – Klintsevich concluded.
