Federation Council says Iran will follow the path of creating nuclear weapons

In the context of the confrontation with the United States, Iran will follow the path of creating its own nuclear weapons, Oleg Morozov, member of the Federation Council international committee, told the reporters. This is said by RIA Novosti.

Earlier, Iran announced the rejection of the last key limitation in the deal on the country’s nuclear program regarding the number of enrichment centrifuges, calling this step “last”. It is noted that Iran will continue to cooperate with the IAEA, as before, and is ready to return to fulfilling its obligations in the event of lifting the sanctions and ensuring Tehran’s interests stipulated by the nuclear deal.

“This is an expected reaction of Iran. It is hardly worth expecting any contacts on the nuclear program between Iran and the US in the near future. If there are any agreements, then without the USA”, – Morozov said.

He added that without the US it would be difficult to talk about lifting the sanctions mechanism.

“And this will mean that Iran will move in the direction of creating its own nuclear weapons”, – the parliamentarian said.
