The Iraqi authorities decided to limit the activities of the US military in the territory of their country after the assassination of Iranian general Kassem Suleimani.
According to RIA Novosti, the official representative of the commander of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Abdel Karim Halyaf, earlier US soldiers could only work with the permission of the Iraqi side, but after “such a stab in the back” their activities will be limited.
Halyaf also said that an investigation is underway in Iraq on the subject of who could have data on the movements of the killed general and his escort. Interrogated, according to the interlocutor of the agency, will be everyone who could have information inside the airport in Baghdad.
Previously, NATO suspended its training mission in Iraq. The North Atlantic Alliance said that this is due to increased instability in the country after the assassination of Suleimani.
