As a matter of urgency, citizens of the United States must leave Iraq due to the escalation of tension in the region triggered by the attack by the US armed forces on the orders of Donald Trump.
A corresponding appeal is being circulated by the US Embassy in Baghdad.
“US citizens should, if possible, leave [Iraq] by flights, and in the absence of such an opportunity, travel to other countries by land,” the diplomatic mission said.
As News Front previously reported, the American armed forces carried out a resonant and extremely provocative attack, the victim of which was the commander of the elite Iranian unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Al-Quds Kassem Suleimani. The blow was inflicted by personal order of President Donald Trump, allegedly with the aim of “protecting US personnel abroad.” The situation was commented on by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, calling the assassination of the military commander “an act of international terrorism”.
