Political scientist Hillel Frisch is confident that the Israeli Air Force attacked Iranian targets in Syria to damage Tehran.He expressed this opinion in an article for The Jerusalem Post.
The main reason for the offensive position, Frisch believes, stems from the desire to prevent the creation of the Iranian arms industry in Syria and the introduction on a mass scale of the turnover of precision missiles aimed against Israel.
“But there is undoubtedly one more reason for Israel’s determination to strike at the Iranians in Syria, which is consistent with the US strategy for Iran: increasing the costs of Iranian imperialism,” the political scientist wrote.
