The number of demonstrators in the French capital on Saturday reached 4.5 thousand people, six of them were detained during the confrontation with law enforcement officers. This was reported by BFM, citing data from the prefecture of the Paris police.
“Four and a half thousand protesters marched through the streets of Paris, among them were 800 yellow vests”, – the channel quotes the agency. He also said that six protesters were detained during the day.
The Paris demonstration became the largest in France this Saturday, previously the most numerous action known was recorded in Bayonne. There, law enforcement agencies counted 1.1 thousand participants (2.2 thousand – according to trade unions).
In other cities where citizens rallies were held, there were several hundred or even dozens of participants, which is much less than the speeches of the trade unions on December 5.
Earlier in Paris, 90 people were detained during protests. In France, more than 800 thousand people took to the street protests against the planned pension reform.
