Ukrainian media law prohibits media resources from quoting Russian officials, including Russian President Vladimir Putin. As noted by the media, a whole section of the law is devoted to restrictions related to coverage of Russia’s actions.
The law prescribes a ban on the dissemination of information containing the popularization or propaganda of state bodies of Russia, its officials and organizations. It is noted that such an interpretation actually means a complete ban on any information from Russia, except negative.
