Anti-terrorism countries must also fight American terrorism – economic, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo.
“American sanctions are a kind of economic terrorism. Countries that counteract terrorism must fight similar US actions”, – said Rowhani, whose words are quoted on his official website.
The Iranian President also touched on the situation surrounding the nuclear deal, after which the United States imposed sanctions against Tehran. According to the Iranian President, the US withdrawal from international agreement poses a threat to international security and peace.
Rouhani pointed out that Tehran is making every effort to preserve the deal in such a way as to ensure its interests, and will continue to do so, but expects the parties to agree to implement their part of the obligations under the agreement.
