Tehran is making efforts to create a safe environment in the Middle East in cooperation with countries in the region, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said at the meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo.
“Iran has always made efforts to establish peace and tranquility in the region and the world in promoting and cooperating with regional countries and neighbors. Letters were sent to the heads of regional countries”, – said Rouhani, whose words are quoted on his official website.
According to him, Iran is also responsible for ensuring security in the Persian Gulf, whose security has been undermined by other countries. Rouhani noted that in order to ensure security in the region, it is necessary to get rid of a unilateral approach in actions.
