American armed forces expell from the Turkish air base, Ankara calls the conditions

Against the background of the destructive policy of the United States towards Turkey, Ankara is ready to demand the release of the Incirlik air base, which is the easternmost for the US Air Force command in Europe, from the American armed forces.

This statement was made by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

According to him, Ankara would take such a step if Washington imposed anti-Turkish sanctions in connection with the acquisition of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 Triumph.

“Turkey is ready to appeal to the United States with a request to withdraw its troops from the Incirlik air base,” the minister said, noting that Ankara will also “change its status for the Kurejik base, which is used to deploy European missile defense systems.

Cavusoglu also commented on Washington’s decision not to supply Turkey with American F-35 fighters. He assured that Ankara would buy Russian analogues in this case.

As News Front previously reported, the draft US military budget for 2020 provides for the allocation of funds for the purchase of fighters intended for Turkey. Thus, the cars will remain on the balance of the US Air Force.
