On Saturday, truck drivers blocked access to 15 motorways in France, they took such a step in protest because of a possible increase in the tax on diesel fuel. It is reported by Parisien publication.
It is known that the provision on increasing the tax by 2 cents has been introduced into the draft budget for 2020.
The roads began to be blocked from 7 am local time (9:00 Moscow time).
“In particular, serious traffic violations are noted on the A7 motorway in the Rhone-Alps region and on the A75 highway in Occitania. Drivers block lanes on the roads or create traffic jams when driving at low speed”, – the article says.
In total, truck driver protests touched 11 regions of the country.
