A division of the Islamic State terrorist group claimed responsibility for a clash of two helicopters in Mali, killing 13 French soldiers, according to the Associated Press.
The agency notes that the terrorists did not provide any evidence.
The representative of the headquarters of the Armed forces of France, Frederick Barry refused to comment on the statement of the ISIS.
At the same time, the Associated Press recalls, shortly after the crash, the chief of staff of the army, General Francois Lekuanre, stated that the helicopters supported the French troops on the ground, chasing the militants.
The disaster occurred on the evening of November 25. Two helicopters collided during military operations in Mali, 13 French soldiers dead.
