More than 810 refugees from Lebanon and Jordan came back to Syria in 24 hours

Over 810 refugees came back to Syria over the past day from Lebanon and Jordan, according to the newsletter of the Russian center for the reconciliation of warring parties and the monitoring of the movement of refugees, published on Sunday on the website of the Ministry of Defense.

“Over the past day, 817 refugees came back to Syria from the territories of foreign states, including 205 from Lebanon through the Jaydet-Yabus, Tell-Kalah checkpoints, 612 from Jordan through the Nasib checkpoint”, – the bulletin says.

It is noted that six residential buildings, a school and a bakery have been restored per day. In addition, the engineering units of the Syrian Armed Forces cleared another 2.4 hectares of territory, and also found and destroyed 33 explosive objects.

In Syria since 2011, an armed conflict has continued. Russia, Iran, Turkey, which are the guarantors of the ceasefire, have actively joined the settlement. During this time, Syria managed to almost completely defeat the terrorists, begin a political settlement, return refugees and restore the infrastructure destroyed by the war. A constitutional committee, which included the opposition, was created. The first meeting of the committee was held on October 30 in Geneva.
