Iranian authorities refuse to negotiate with the USA

“The policy of maximum pressure on the Iranian nation is not worth a penny, and the officials of the Islamic Republic are united in the belief that there will be no negotiations with the United States at any level”, – said the country’s top leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.

Khamenei accused the Americans of a consistent and lengthy confrontation with the Iranian people, but stressed that Tehran did not remain indifferent and “in many cases was able to drive the United States into a corner”.

The Ayatollah sees the possibility of continuing the dialogue only if Washington returns to the nuclear deal.
