Rouhani called the end of the war in Yemen the key to solving the problems of the region

Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani, following a meeting in Tehran with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, said that ending the war in Yemen would be the key to solving regional problems.

“The key to solving regional problems is ending the war in Yemen”, – TASS quoted him as saying.

Rouhani noted that Iran and Pakistan believe that “regional problems have a political solution”.

During the negotiations, the parties also discussed the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear deal and Washington’s sanctions against Tehran.

On September 20, the Arab coalition announced the start of a military operation in the north of Hodeida in Yemen against “military installations”.

In response to these actions, Yemeni rebels accused Saudi Arabia and its allies of escalating the conflict.
