Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Ankara has no problems with Moscow on the situation in Syria. According to the Turkish leader, he is “in touch” with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

According to Erdogan, the Sochi agreement with Russia on the situation in the Syrian province of Idlib is being successfully implemented following the results of meetings in Tehran and Ankara.
“We are not talking about any problems with Russia. We are in touch with President Putin”, -RIA Novosti quoted Erdogan as saying.
Erdogan added that “if a question arises,” then they can conduct negotiations within 24 hours and make a joint decision on further steps.
Earlier, the head of the Pentagon, Mark Esper, announced the US decision to withdraw about 1 thousand troops from the north of Syria in connection with Turkey’s operation “Source of Peace”.
The US President Donald Trump said that he is working with Congress on the introduction of “powerful sanctions” against Turkey.
