Over a thousand refugees come back to Syria in 24 hours

More than a thousand Syrian refugees came back to Syria from Jordan and Lebanon over the past day, as follows from the newsletter of the refugee reception, distribution and accommodation center, published on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“Over the past day, 1,069 refugees came back to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territories of foreign states, including 418 people from Lebanon through the Jaydet-Yabus and Tell-Kalah checkpoints (125 women, 213 children), from Jordan through the Nasib checkpoint – 651 people (195 women, 332 children)”, – the report said.

Since July 18, 2018, more than 432 thousand refugees have returned from the territories of foreign states: more than 136 thousand from Lebanon and more than 295 thousand from Jordan.

According to the center, the engineering units of Syria cleared 2.2 hectares of land per day. In addition, experts destroyed 32 explosive objects.
