Hundreds of protesters hit the streets of Lyon for the weekly “Yellow Vest” demonstration on Saturday, the first to be held after the European parliamentary elections. The protest was joined by nursing unions amid reports Lyon hospitals have been hit by workers’ strikes in the past weeks. Nurses were demanding more funding and more personnel allocations. The march started at the Croix-Rousse neighbourhood and was concluded with a speech at the hospital Edouard Herriot.
