CCTV footage from Wednesday captures the moment that two boats collided on the River Danube in Budapest, in an incident which left at least 7 dead and 21 missing.
The ‘Mermaid’ boat, which was reportedly carrying 33 South Korean tourists and two Hungarian crew members, hit a river cruise ship, the Viking Sigyn, near the Hungarian parliament building before it capsized and sank on the river, which has been swollen by recent heavy rains.
According to officials, so far 14 people have been pulled out of the water, with seven people reported dead and the other seven suffering from hypothermia but in stable condition.
