France: Police survey scene of Lyon explosion

Police were at work early Saturday morning on the scene of a suspected parcel bomb blast which struck the centre of Lyon the day before, injuring thirteen people.

The blast occurred in the central Victor Hugo Street, which was evacuated and cordoned off by security forces.

Footage shows police forensics at work on the scene of the blast.

According to a police sources, the package contained screws or bolts and was placed in front of a bakery.

The suspect was filmed leaving a bag in front the shop ahead of the explosion, which occurred at around 5:30 pm local time, as confirmed by Mayor Denis Broliquier.

Thirteen people were injured, with 11 having been rushed to hospital, according to reports.
