Russian inspectors will visit a military facility in France on Tuesday in the framework of the Vienna document, head of the Russian National center on decreasing the nuclear threat Sergey Ryzhkov told reporters.

“In accordance with the 2011 Vienna document on implementing confidence and security building measures, a group of Russian inspectors plans to visit a military facility on the territory of France to assess information,” Ryzhkov said adding that the inspection will last for only one day.

Ryzhkov noted that Russian inspectors will be briefed by French commanders on the facility’s personnel, weapons and equipment.

He added that such visits are made to assess information “about military forces and plans for deploying main weapons systems and military equipment.”.
