France: Cars torched in fourth night of anti-police rioting in Grenoble

A fourth night of rioting broke out in the French city of Grenoble on Wednesday after the two teenagers died in a collision with a coach while they were being chased by police.

At least 65 cars and a council building have been torched since the unrest began on Saturday.

Youths and police engaged in skirmishes at around 9pm local time (20:00 GMT), although events had already calmed down by midnight.

The clashes occurred in the Mistral district of the city where the victims lived.

The teenagers, aged 17 and 19, were crushed between the coach and a parapet on a bridge as they fled by scooter late on Saturday evening.
