France: Third night of rioting after two teens die in police chase

A third consecutive night of rioting broke out in the French city of Grenoble on Monday after the two teenagers died in a collision with a coach while they were being chased by police.

Youths set up barricades and hurled fireworks and petrol bombs at police. A number of vehicles were also torched.

The clashes occurred in the Mistral district of the city where the victims lived.

Four firefighters and several policemen were reported hurt during the riots.

The teenagers, aged 17 and 19, were crushed between the coach and a parapet on a bridge as they fled by scooter late on Saturday evening.
