Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, commented on the situation with the investigation of the collapse of the Malaysian Boeing in Ukraine in the summer of 2014.
“Demanding answers from the Russian side to the seemingly fully satisfied with Russia requests from the investigators, the Dutch authorities simply flatly refuse to give out their secrets,” said Zakharova.
According to her, in 2015, litigation between the three Dutch editions and the Government of the Netherlands lasted.
“Journalists in court tried to force their authorities to provide the public and investigators with transcripts of cabinet meetings devoted to the crash of flight MH17, as well as meetings with experts who evaluated the work of the Dutch authorities in the days of the disaster. The government of the Netherlands did not want to do this voluntarily, ”said the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
She added that last week the State Council of the Netherlands “put an end to the matter, completely taking the side of the government.”
“According to the decision of the State Council, these materials can now not be disclosed at all. But what about transparency, but what about the transparency of the investigation of the death of a Malaysian airliner? But what about freedom of speech, what about the rights of journalists and the media to receive data, materials and information on not just resonant, but on … real tragedy? .. Are we not witnessing the attempt of the authorities of the Netherlands to conceal everything that does not support the official version of the death of flight MN17? ”- said Zakharova.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia stated that they had responded to all nine inquiries received from international investigators about the crash of Boeing in Ukraine . According to Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Nikolai Vinnichenko, despite the refusal to include Russia in the joint investigation team, all these years, Moscow “still actively cooperated with the Netherlands through the national prosecutor’s offices and throughout all four years provided all available information on the MH17 crash.
