To the great surprise of Europe, all sorts of “revolutions” and coups can be successfully implemented not only in countries such as Ukraine.
This is particularly felt now by the French President Emmanuel Macron, who, together with the security forces of the country, is preparing for the third rally of yellow vests, which may turn out to be the most massive.
On November 17, when the first wave of protests began, 280 thousand people took to the streets. On November 24 demonstrations repeated. Although they gathered only a little more than a hundred thousand French, the aggressive behavior of the protesters compensated for the decline in their number. Thus, the protesters blocked the traffic, and stones fell on the heads of the policemen. In addition, in the capital of the republic, “yellow vests” tried to break through to the Elysee Palace – the presidential residence. Then the security forces used tear gas and water cannons against the attackers.
According to the French authorities, the assault on the government quarter will be the priority goal of the protesters today, December 1. In this regard, five thousand law enforcement officers have already been transferred to Paris.
Not only the country’s authorities prepared for the “storm”. Owners of shops and restaurants located in the central part of Paris were forced to install special shields and barriers on the windows.
Not a small problem is the fact that the “yellow vests” are quite popular among the population, which means that if you use force against them, protest sentiments will only increase. In addition, the official Paris drew attention to the fact that the protesters did not have specific leaders who could be detained. It also shows that external forces can be “leaders”.
Recall that the official reason for the mass protests in France was the decision of the authorities to raise the tax on diesel fuel from the beginning of next year.
