The incident occurred on Tuesday during the drill of the French Air Force – by accident, the training bomb was dropped by the pilot of the Mirage 2000D fighter onto the production premises of the Faurecia company.
Despite the fact that the ammunition was deprived of the military unit, its drop led to serious consequences: after breaking through the roof of the building, the bomb collapsed into the assembly shop and wounded two people. More than 150 employees of the enterprise were evacuated, EOD specialists arrived to the scene.
The French Air Force apologized for what happened and promised to sort out the reasons in the near future.
