A court in Prague released Kurdish leader Salih Muslim from custody, Tuesday, after he was detained on Saturday on an international arrest warrant issued by a court in Ankara.
Kurdish protesters gathered in front of the court building on Tuesday, demanding the release of Salih Muslim, chanting “Erdogan fascist.”
“We believe in justice in the Czech Republic. Mr Salih Muslim is not a terrorist. On the contrary: he is a warrior against the terrorists,” said Temo Ziver, a Kurd from Prague.
Salih Muslim promised cooperation with Czech investigative bodies and courts and has said he would remain within the EU to attend additional hearings in the case.
