At a meeting of the NGO “Qirim Birligi” and the Public Council of the Crimean Tatar People, dedicated to supporting the candidacy, which was held on January 13, in Simferopol, it was unanimously acknowledged that Vladimir Putin is “our president, and we do not see the other”. That was stated by the head of the Crimean-Tatar organization, Seytumer Nimetullayev.
The gathered fully supported Mr. Nimetullayev and expressed their readiness to conduct agitation in their districts of the Crimea for a candidate whom the people trust.
“The president gave us the rehabilitation, which we waited for 70 years. The Crimean-Tatar language is recognized at the state level, the Jameh mosque is being built, personally under the guidance of our president,” Nimetullayev said.
“We believe that today there is no other worthy candidate who will be able to continue and implement large-scale reforms in the country”, he added.
The election of the Russian president is scheduled for March 18, 2018. Crimea and Sevastopol, for the first time, will take part in the elections of the President of the Russian Federation.
