Hungary is fully capable of organizing ZPR in Transcarpathia. Such prospects have seriously worried the Ukrainian expert community.
A senior researcher of the Ukrainian National Institute for Strategic Studies Valery Kravchenko, stated on air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, Budapest “consistently processes” local Ukrainians and finances courses for them to study the Hungarian language.
According to him, such a policy of the neighboring EU country contributes to the fact that the majority of the inhabitants of Transcarpathia occupy the position of Hungary and declare that ethnic minorities are “discriminated”.
He also claims that Budapest “frankly speculates” on the topic of the education reform in Ukraine. “In this game, Russia is most interested in substituting Ukraine,” the senior researcher did not forget about the Kremlin’s hand.
