Szijjarto to Poroshenko: Forget the EU

The government of Hungary decided to block all further decisions of the EU that aim for the rapprochement of the EU with Ukraine. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto claimed as the website of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry reported.

This decision is a response of official Budapest on the signing of the ‘Law on Education” by President Poroshenko.

‘We can guaranty that it will harm Ukraine in the future’, the Hungarian Foreign Minister noted.

He called the decision of Poroshenko shameful. The press service cited his words that Poroshenko declared the striving of Ukraine to be closer to Europe but the decision to sign this law is ‘far from Europe because the great step backward was made’.

According to the message, Ukraine ‘can forget about the integration to Europe’ and also it is explained by the direct quote of the minister: ‘Hungary will block any initiatives beneficial for Ukraine at the international organizations, especially in the EU’.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law on the education that starts the reform in Ukraine. The law provides that the language of the educational process is the state language. Later, President Petro Poroshenko signed the law of Ukraine #2145 VII ‘On Education’. Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia and Moldova expressed the protests towards the law.
