Let me in: Four migrants trying to enter EU detained at Ukrainian-Hungarian border

Four people from the Middle Eastern and CIS states were detained at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border while trying to enter the European Union, Ukraine’s state border guard service’s press service said in a statement Monday.

According to the statement, Ukraine’s border security forces detained four undocumented migrants attempting to cross the country’s EU border with Hungary.

“Mukachevo’s [a city in western Ukraine] border security patrol detained four foreigners trying to illegally enter Hungary,” the statement read.

According to the statement, the trespassers were one 43-year-old Iraqi national, two 24-year-old Palestinians and one 28-year-old Azerbaijani citizen.

The men were charged with administrative offenses, and their cases will be brought to the court.
