In the Moscow Cremlin Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the Order of St. Andrew to Xi Jinping, the President of the People’s Republic of China for outstanding achievements in strengthening friendship between the peoples of Russia and China.
The leader of China is on an official visit to Russia at the invitation of Putin. The day before, the leaders met at an informal dinner in the Kremlin. On Tuesday, full-format talks were held, following which two applications were accepted and 40 documents were signed.
“Dear Chairman Xi Jinping, dear friend, you have always been and continue to be a consistent supporter of close cooperation between Russia and China on the basis of equality, trust, openness and respect for each other’s interests. You made your first foreign visit to Russia as the head of China in 2013. Such friendly gestures are expensive, we understand this perfectly and can appreciate it,” – Putin said.
The President of the Russian Federation stressed that with the direct support of the PRC President, the largest bilateral projects in the trade-economic, military, military-technical and humanitarian fields are being implemented, and the interaction of countries in the international arena has become much more active.
“Dear Chairman Xi Jinping, I would like to wish you all the best, success, health, prosperity and peace, and also stability and prosperity to the friendly Chinese people,” – Putin concluded.
