A young man who was going to conduct a terrorist attack and praising the Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik was detained in the French city of Tarascon, of the Bushe-du-Rhone department, the portal France Info informed on Monday.
His detention took place last week, but the media learned about this only today. Last Saturday he was charged under articles on the justification of terrorism and the preparation of the terrorist attack.
A man at the age of 21 was familiar to law enforcement agencies as posing a potential threat to state security (the status of fiche S). Earlier, he was already brought to criminal liability.
“Actively using social networks, the man had the account on the Facebook, where he praised Anders Bering Breivik, the Norwegian ultra-right terrorist, responsible for the massacre on the Utoya island,” the portal reports.
