The French government will apply to technical resignation during the day following the results of the parliamentary elections. This was reported by the official representative of the Cabinet of Ministers Christophe Castaner on air of RTL TV channel.
“The government will resign in the next few hours, and the new government will be formed in the coming days,” he said.
According to him, this will not be large-scale, it is a question of technical reorganization.
Traditionally in France, the government is going into technical retirement after the parliamentary elections. It is expected that there will be no serious rearrangements in the Cabinet, given the convincing victory of the presidential majority.
On June 18, the second round of voting to the National Assembly took place. Candidates from the movement of French President Emmanuel Macron “Republic goes forward” received 308 out of 577 seats in the lower house of the parliament.
