Hungarian MP: Ukraine faces dissipation due to lack of autonomy among ethnic minorities

Deputy chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Hungarian Parliament from the Movement for Better Hungary (Jobbik) Marton Gyöngyösi has predicted the rapid dissipation of Ukraine due to a categorical refusal on giving autonomy to national minorities.

“We see that every national minority in Ukraine is deprived of the basic human right – the right to speak in one’s native language. This is absolutely unacceptable,” the politician said.

“The political situation in Ukraine after the events on the Maidan unfolded 180 degrees and follows the path of outright extremism or even fascism,” the MP continued.

“Hungary is simply obligated to protect the rights of more than 150 thousand Hungarians living in Transcarpathia. The Ukrainian state as a whole and the government deprives them of all rights,” he summed up.
