Ukraine has troops in 11 countries currently

Kiev, Ukraine. The Poroshenko government, always looking to promote their involvement in international affairs, were quick to point out they have 100,000 plus Ukrainian soldiers committed outside of Ukrainian territory on UN peace keeping projects globally at present and on “anti-terrorist” operations in Donbass. Just like their bankers; the United States and European Union.

Ukraine has been a participant of the UN peacekeeping operations for 25 years now with over 100,000 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that are currently taking part in nine international operations globally. This would mean Ukraine is technically inside 11 nations. if one counts the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic.

This comes despite claims of “Russian aggression” and supposed threats from local residents in Donbass as Kiev requests billions of dollars to subdue the breakaway regions planning integration with the Russian Federation shortly.

“Our soldiers carried out the first task under the auspices of the United Nations to restore peace in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. Today, 448 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are taking part in nine international peacekeeping and security operations in seven countries and the Abyei region of Sudan under the leadership of the UN, NATO and Joint peacekeeping forces in the Transdniester region of the Republic of Moldova, with another 100,000 plus currently deployed in the Donbass” Poroshenko’s office stated.

“I want to emphasize the participation of our helicopter units in the UN Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the UN mission in Liberia, the engineers in Kosovo and the sappers in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, whose activities are highly valued by the leadership of the missions,” chief of the military cooperation and peacekeeping operations department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Leonid Holopatiuk said.

Contrary to the ongoing hostilities in the east of the country, Ukraine continues to respect international obligations to participate in UN peacekeeping operations, while still killing its own citizens at home. In 2016, three rotations of national contingents were carried out (DR Congo, Liberia, Kosovo). While also conducting a so-called “anti-terrorist operation” that has turned into a genocide in Donbass, with over 100,000 deaths locally, since 2014.
