Emmanuel Macron was been booed by factory workers in his home town after a visit from his rival Marine Le Pen.
Mr Macron, who was in Amiens in northern France, is the current frontrunner ahead of the second round of the French election but has been accused of complacency.
The second round of election will be held on May 7.
