Tillerson says its US or them to Putin

Moscow, Russia. In an unheard of provocation by a US Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson publicly told the Government of the Russian Federation today to chose between the US or Iran and Syria. The unheard of announcement was made right before Tillerson’s arrival in Moscow.

Tillerson did not spell out the immediate consequences or what “benefit” Moscow would recieve for selling out the Assad administration it has had relations with for decades. It was not immediately clear what the consequences would be for a government that helped Assad and his allies succeed in their six-year war with Syrian opposition groups.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson landed in Moscow on Tuesday with an unheard of demand for Russia: Side with the US and like-minded countries on Syria, or join Iran, Hezbollah and Bashar Assad.

Russian President Vladimir Putin immediately respond and on no uncertain terms refused to back down, saying Russia knew about organised “provocations” to blame Syria’s government for using chemical weapons, and urged the UN to investigate the attack.

Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin told reporters: “It reminds me of the events in 2003 when US envoys to the Security Council were demonstrating what they said were chemical weapons found in Iraq. We have seen it all already.”

UK Foreign Secretary was scheduled to visit Moscow also, but declined after consulting with US President Donald Trump who told him not to go.
