US Special Forces failed operation to seize Tabqah Dam from ISIS

 

The US special forces together with the Kurds failed the operation to seize the most important dam on the Euphrates River near the town of Tabqah in the Syrian province of Raqqa.

“The Coalition supported this offensive with air movement and logistical support, precision airstrikes, Apache helicopters in close air support, Marine artillery, and special operations advice and assistance to SDF leadership”, said in the statement of the US-led coalition.

 

In reality, the militants repulsed the attack and inflicted damage on the attackers.

 

The ISIS media stated that Kurdish-led “Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)” could not capture the Tabqah dam. The statement emphasizes that the terrorists thwarted the US-led operation to land an SDF troops from helicopters.
