Turkey: Car bomb exploded in the Turkish province of Mardin

Many have been wounded in a car bomb explosion outside a police station in Turkey near the Syrian border on Wednesday.

Multiple ambulances have been sent to the site in the town of Midyat, in the Kurdish majority southeast.   Just one day earlier a car bomb targeting a police bus in Istanbul killed 11 people, including seven officers, and wounded 36 others during the morning rush hour.

No group has immediately claimed responsibility for either attack, though Islamic State has recently carried out attacks in Turkey.
