French parliament to discuss the issue on lifting sanctions from Russia

The National Assembly of France will discuss the issue on lifting of the anti-Russian sanctions on April 28. This was announced by French parliamentarian François Rochebloine.

“On April 28 will be held the first vote on the lifting of sanctions against Russia in the French National Assembly”, he said, without specifying what sanctions concretely are issuing.

Rochebloine noted that a group of Republicans in the Assembly has proposed to discuss the issue.

“If the Assembly will make such a decision, it will show the position of France”, said MP, adding that “in PACE this won’t change anything”.

In late January, the French Minister of Agriculture also spoke about the desire of Paris to lift the EU sanctions against Russia.
