The Russia air forces targeted the ISIL sites near the village of al-Hassan which ended in the destruction of the militants’ vehicles and several terrorists, reports FARS news agency.
The Syrian fighter jets, meantime, bombed the ISIL centers near al-Hassan and al-Janiniyeh, claiming the lives of several terrorists.
The Syrian army, for its part, engaged in heavy fighting with a group of the ISIL near the village of Baqaliyah in the Western side of Deir Ezzur city, which left several terrorists dear or wounded.
Also on Friday, the Syrian army troops thwarted the ISIL attempts to break through the government forces’ lines of defense in the Northwestern part of Deir Ezzur province, and forced the terrorist group to retreat from the battlefield.
The ISIL launched a powerful assault against the army’s defense lines in al-Baqaliyah district near the Deir Ezzur Military Airport, but the Syria government forces fended off the attack.
The ISIL militants’ failed offensive ended in the killing of at least 30 terrorists and destruction of 3 armored vehicles mounted with 23 mm anti-aircraft machineguns.
