The HDP MP said one of the people in the basement sent him an SMS this morning, which said “They are trying to kill us one by one. Another one of us has died”.

Sarıyıldız also reported that ambulances belonging to Cizre Municipality were waiting in the Dörtyol area this morning when armoured vehicles in the area suddenly started firing arbitrarily. He said this was filmed by pro-government media workers waiting in the area, who reported the incident as “ambulances cannot enter the neighborhood due to clashes”.

He noted that the gunfire by Turkish forces stopped after the return of ambulances back to the municipality.

Meanwhile social media campaigners who are following Sarıyıldız’s tweets have started a hashtag #WarCrimeInABasement to get international attention.
