At least six high schools have been evacuated in Paris due to bomb threats, local media reported Tuesday, citing the French capital’s rector’s office.
Henri IV, Louis Le Grand, Condorcet, Fenelon and Montaigne lyceums were among the educational institutions that received respective warnings over the telephone earlier in the day, Le Figaro reported.
The threat was taken very seriously and the pupils were immediately evacuated, while police launched searches for the explosive devices.
Police officers are still investigating the case. At present, a suspicious package, which could simply be an abandoned bag, was found in one of the schools.
