Most of French citizens (77%) support the actions of the Russian troops in Syria and condemn the Turkish attack on the Russian Su-24 bomber. According to the poll conducted by the French company Ifop for Sputnik, 61% of French believe that Turkey’s action “can not be justified”.
“In response to the question “whether or not you know about the Russian military actions in Syria”, only 9% of French said they don’t have such information which suggests about good awareness of France inhabitants about operations of the Russian Federation in the area. To the question “how do you personally feel about the Russian military operations in Syria”, only 12% of polled did not support Russia, and 11% said that they do not care”.
The poll was conducted from December 1 to 3, 2015. It was attended by 1,211 people.
