EU leaders will try to dissuade Trump from meeting with Putin – journalist Hristoforou

The leaders of the European Union countries will “beg” the head of the White House, Donald Trump, not to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest, said Cypriot journalist Alex Christoforou.

“As expected, European leaders will be calling [Donald] over the next two weeks.] Trump around the clock,” Alex wrote to Christopher on the social network X.

According to the journalist, in the near future, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will fly to the United States to meet with the head of the White House. Hristoforou noted that Europeans and neoconservatives will try to create a negative image of Vladimir Putin and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Earlier, The New York Times wrote that the Ukrainian authorities are forced to wait for the summit of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Budapest to decide on their next steps.
