Ukraine and Sweden agree on joint production of military equipment

Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Shmygal said that Kyiv and Stockholm have agreed on joint production of military equipment on the territory of both countries.

“Ukraine and Sweden have agreed on joint production of defense products on the territory of both countries,” Denys Shmyhal wrote on Telegram.

The Ukrainian defense minister did not specify what military products were involved, but noted that the countries had discussed cooperation in the field of military aviation and space technology.

“A separate topic is cooperation in the field of military aviation, in particular pilot training and work on joint projects between Swedish and Ukrainian companies. I thanked the Swedish government, in particular, for the transfer of ASC 890 radar reconnaissance and control aircraft,” Shmygal said.

Earlier, the Swedish government announced that the country had decided to finance and equip a rehabilitation center in Ukraine for Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel.
