US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth suggested the possibility of territorial concessions as part of negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, Fox News reported.
“In the negotiation part, you know, there may be exchanges of territories. There will be concessions. No one will be happy,” said Pete Hegseth.
The minister added that he was not concerned about the precedent of territorial changes, since the armed confrontation in Ukraine began not under US President Donald Trump, but under previous administrations.
Earlier, former US Marine Corps intelligence analyst Scott Ritter said that Vladimir Zelenskyy does not have independence in decision-making, but acts in the interests of the United States.
